Overview

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a challenge around the Manaslu mountain range in Nepal, perfect for experienced trekkers. Walk through beautiful and unspoiled Himalayan wilderness and see local villages with a distinctive Tibetan style. Ascend over 5000 metres; family-run lodges with home cooked food offer comfortable accommodation. This trek is uncrowded compared with other trekking areas.

Meet our representative waiting for you at the airport, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. In the evening enjoy a complimentary dinner, a chance to taste Nepalese cuisine, or taste one of a range of other dishes if you prefer.

Morning & Afternoon: At dawn, drive to Arughat (600m), about 8hrs, enjoy the countryside and mountain scenery.

Day 3 - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 Arughat | Soti Khola

Morning & Afternoon: Cross a bridge and enter the Annapurna Conservation Area. After completing your ACAP procedure follow your route passing the hydro-electric power project, fields of rice and millet and the forest of Sante Bazzar. Cross the Arkhet Khola on a suspension bridge, encounter a cascading waterfall and descend to Soti Khola (710m). Overnight camping.

Day 4 - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Soti Khola | Maccha Khola

Morning & Afternoon: Cross a bridge, trek through beautiful forests, then another bridge above white water rapids. Your rocky trail then weaves its way up and down, past two waterfalls, eventually down to rice terraces, and the village of Labubesi. Ascend behind a rocky outcrop, where the valley opens up, descend to the river bed and walk to Machha Khola village (900m).

Day 5 - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Morning & Afternoon: Your trail narrows with a pattern of up and downs until you reach Tatopani. From the hot spring ascend a ridge and cross the river on a suspension bridge to a wide, well-crafted staircase. Cross another bridge and climb some stone stairs to Tharo Bharyang. Trek along the river to Jagat (1410m).

Day 6 - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Morning & Afternoon: Your route continues along the valley up to Ghatta Khola and further upstream to a long suspension bridge. Ascend to Philim village, your trail crosses millet fields and the banks of the river, the valley widens through bamboo forests to the village of Deng (1804m).

Morning & Afternoon: After a brief walk beyond Deng, you cross the Budhi Gandaki river on to the north bank and ascend to Rana (1910m). Take route through Prok village which has a beautiful view of Siringi Himal. Cross Budi Gandaki several times following the river upstream through dense forest with a steep climb to reach Namrung (2630m).

Trek to Shyala (3500m) its snowy mountain scenery is one the best in the trek surrounded by the snowy peaks of Kutang Himal to and Manaslu.

Shyala | Sama Gaon

Morning & Afternoon: Your trail crosses the slope that drains Punggen glacier and reaches Sama Gaon through a nice flat area, view grazing Yaks.

Walking time: 1-2 hours

Manaslu Base Camp Side Trip: Gain altitude the scenery becomes more and more spectacular – the glacier just nearby, the turquoise lake beneath, and mountains as far as the eye can see. The last part of the climb is the steepest on a slippery trail on a narrow moraine. Return to Sama Gaon.

Morning & Afternoon: Your trail climbs gradually towards Samdo (3800m).

Morning & Afternoon: Ascend gradually until reaching the highest point before Larkye pass this is Larkye Phedi (4460m).

Day 13 - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Larkye Phedi | Bhimtang

Morning: An early start at dawn, cross Larkye Pass (5106m) and go to another world. After to hours you reach a beautiful turquoise lake that reflects the surrounding snowy mountains. Onwards a steady climb on a rocky moraine before the final climb to the prayer flags marking the first part of Larke Pass.

Afternoon: After Larkye Pass, a steep descent towards the moraine of Salpudanda glacier. Your trail then becomes gradual as it goes along the moraine and parallel to Bhimtang glacier towards Bhimtang (3720m).

Morning & Afternoon: Descend throughout forests, eventually enter the Karche Valley from where you further descend down to Tilje (2300m).
