Meet our representative waiting for you at the airport, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. In the evening enjoy a complimentary dinner, a chance to taste Nepalese cuisine, or taste one of a range of other dishes if you prefer.
Morning: Enjoy a walk with your city guide from the hotel to Durbar Square. Kathmandu Durbar Square is listed as a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage site. It is a cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets dating back to the 12th and 18th centuries.
Afternoon: Visit Pashupatinath, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu shrine, located on the banks of the Bagmati River and visit Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist Stupas in the world. Compare and contrast the different religions, see how they overlap and exist in harmony.
Kathmandu | Bhaktapur
Morning: Drive to Bhaktapur with your city guide. Bhaktapur is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a living museum where farmers dry their harvest, potters turn their wheel and people go about lives.
Afternoon: Visit Swayambhunath with your city guide, situated on the top of a hill west of Kathmandu. The temple is colloquially known as the ‘monkey temple’ because of the large tribe of roving monkeys who live there.
Kathmandu | Kopan Monastery
Morning: Drive to Kopan Monastery to start your ten day Buddhist meditation retreat.
This ten day course retreat gives an introduction to Tibetan Buddhism, teaches meditation skills and includes a two day analytical and single pointed meditation. The course is led by an English speaking Western Sangha, with daily teachings from a Tibetan Lama.
The daily schedule consists of meditation sessions, teachings and discussion groups. The course leader as well as the Tibetan Lamas of the monastery are available for personal guidance. The daily programme starts at 6.30 am and finishes at 9 pm. You are expected to attend all sessions and a half day silence is kept as a matter of course.

Morning: Depart the monastery, a representative will collect you and drive you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free.
Morning & Afternoon: The day is free to reflect on your meditation retreat.
Evening: Enjoy a complimentary farewell dinner.
