Morning: Enjoy a walk with your city guide from the hotel to Durbar Square. Kathmandu Durbar Square is listed as a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage site. It is a cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets dating back to the 12th and 18th centuries.
Afternoon: Visit Pashupatinath, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu shrine, located on the banks of the Bagmati River and visit Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist Stupas in the world. Compare and contrast the different religions, see how they overlap and exist in harmony.

Morning: An early start for your 45 min flight to Lukla (2840m)
Afternoon: After lunch, start your trek with an afternoon’s walking to reach Phakding (2610m). At 3-4 hours in duration

Morning & Afternoon: Continues the trail up the Dudh Kosi Valley entering the Sagarmatha National Park. The route from here is steep and long but eventually you reach the Sherpa capital, Namche (3450m).

Morning & Afternoon: A rest day to acclimatise, take side trips to Thami or Khumjung and take it easy.

Morning & Afternoon: Your trail heads northeast on a reasonably flat path after the village of Phunki Thanga it is a steep long climb up the side of the hill to Tengboche (3867m) that provides a beautiful panorama of the Himalayas.

Morning & Afternoon: Your route descends through to the settlement of Pangboche (3860m). After this point, the trail is relatively easy, with a gentle climb towards Dingboche (4410m).

Morning & Afternoon: A rest day to acclimatise, recommended side trip to Chhukung (4730m).

Morning & Afternoon: Your route ascends on a gentle sloping trail to the settlement of Duglha. Enter the Khumbu valley and eventually reach the Lobuche (4930m).

Morning: An early start on your route over rough ground to Gorak Shep (5184m). Rest of the day free to acclimatise.

Gorak Shep | Kala Patthar | Gorak Shep
Morning & Afternoon: Walk for an hour and a half to Kala Patthar (5545m), a small rocky peak, it’s a hard climb but well worth it because the views are magnificent. Return to Gorak Shep.

Everest Base Camp
Morning & Afternoon: Your trail crosses a moraine wall and descends to the Khumbu glaciers, which you cross. Cairns mark the route to Everest Base Camp (5357m). Return to Gorak Shep.

Morning & Afternoon: Decend to Pheriche, have lunch, walk to Pangboche (3985m).

Morning & Afternoon: Retrace your steps, cross the suspension bridge below Namche where you get your last chance to see Everest. Arrive at Lukla by mid-afternoon.
