A team of civil servants is set to scale the highest peak in the world to draw attention to Nepal Tourism Year 2011, and the zeal of the expedition is thought to add new spirit to the tourism sector.The team already successfully climed the Yala peak of Lamtang in their training. The campaign will take 75 days and is prepared and managed by the Mountaineering Training Institute Development Committee.
Chief Secretary Madhav Ghimire said the mountaineering will help devise a mechanism on sustainable environment conservation by acquiring information about the effects of climate change in the mountain region.
