In November we want to take you to Nepal on a journey in pictures.

Meet the people of Nepal – as diverse and colourful as their country. Nepal has a population of around 29,000 and more than 100 different casts and ethnic groups, speaking over 92 different languages. Their lifestyles range from near prehistoric in some remote high altitude areas, to the modern 21st century lifestyle in areas of Kathmandu.

Hear about the Sherpas – probably the best known ethnic group from Nepal. Of Tibetan descendant, they are known for their mountaineering skills and hardiness. The Newari from Kathmandu valley are mainly traders, but also known for their tasty cookery. The Gurkhas, who have been fighting in the British Army for nearly 200 years and are famous for their bravery and the music loving Gurung from the slopes in the Annapurna region.

On our open evening you will see the different faces of Nepal and learn about their culture and lifestyle. There will be plenty of time to answer all the questions you have.

We will also take you to the most beautiful places of Nepal for a bit of holiday feeling during your workweek: To the mountains of the Annapurna region, the wonderful and elaborate temples of Kathmandu valley, the jungles of Chitwan, that are teeming with wildlife. Escape the dark Scottish winter for an hour of Himalayan sun!
