Jewel of the Himalayas

For a long time Pokhara has been most trekkers’ Shangri-La. More recently, this Jewel of the Himalayas has also developed as an adventure hotspots. Especially popular are paragliding and microlighting in the spectacular surroundings of Pokhara. The town is also ideally situated to form a base for rafting and other river sports. Easily accessible from Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, you can reach this stunning resort in 30 minutes by plane, on one of the world’s most stunning flights with views of the Himalayan peaks in the north and lush, green jungles in the south at the same time. If you prefer taking it slowly you can go to Pokhara by bus on a 6 hour journey. This captivating experience is highly recommended.
