Passengers are advised not to travel from 6pm tonight until tomorrow at midnight, as there will be air travel disruptions throughout the UK. Whoever has the possibility to travel on an alternative day is advised to do so.

Severe disruptions and delays due to public sector strikes are expected, affecting UK ports and airports. The walkouts will hit arrivals to Britain as well as domestic flights. Security at passport controls may be extremely vulnerable due to a low number of available immigration officers. To maintain security long queues at the controls are very likely.

Any missed connections due to long waiting times in the queues are not protected, passengers with connecting flights could therefore face severe problems. London Heathrow is likely to be the most affected airport.
