Meet our representative at the airport and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is free.
Day 03 – B
Kathmandu
In the morning you will take a guided walking tour from the hotel to Durbar Square via the tourist centre Thamel. Durbar Square is listed as a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage site. It is a cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets dating back to the 12th and 18th centuries.
In the afternoon visit Pashupatinath, one of the most important Hindu temples of Lord Shiva in the world. It draws wandering Sadhus from all over India.
A short walk away you will find Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist Stupas in the world. Around here you will experience vibrant and unfettered Tibetan culture from the large community of Tibetan exiles.
Today’s tour is an ideal experience to compare and contrast the different faiths but also see how they overlap and exist in harmony.
Day 04 – B
Kathmandu |Bhaktapur – Mountain Biking
After breakfast this morning you cycle out of the city through small alleys and backstreets, past the airport and suddenly you will find yourself in the countryside. You will ride through fields and villages to the oldest temple in the Kathmandu valley, the Changunarayan temple. Here you will take a visit to the old village and ancient temple.
After some sightseeing have lunch there and continue to Bhaktapur, or Bhadgaon as it is also called. It is the city of devotes and the best preserved of all the ancient cities of Kathmandu Valley. Bhaktapur is the most original and is without a doubt the most historically authentic city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is literally a living museum where farmers dry their harvest, potters turn their wheel and people go about lives as they have done for so long.
Check into your guesthouse and the rest of the afternoon is free for sightseeing and relaxing. In the evening you can explore the many little restaurants and see Bhaktapur like only very few travellers do: on a quiet evening you will have the city all to yourself!
Day 05 – B D
Bhaktapur | Nargakot – Mountain Biking
After breakfast you will start for a gentle ride up to Nargakot. This place is famed for its magnificent views of the mountains. It is one of the best spots to view the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal.
Day 06 – B D
Nargakot | The Last Resort
Today you will get up early to witness the spectacular sunrise at Nargakot. Return to the hotel for breakfast and then drive to the Last Resort. This hotel is the perfect place for any kind of adventure sports or relaxing. It is located on top of a green river gorge close to the Tibetan border. The natural splendour and peaceful resort surrounding will inspire and soothe your soul.
Day 07 – B
The Last Resort | Kathmandu
In the morning you will challenge your fears and go Bungy Jumping. The stunning natural surroundings so close to Tibet make the jump an almost magical experience. Later drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 08 – B
Kathmandu | Pokhara
In the early morning you will head off to Pokhara by bus. Pokhara is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. The rest of the day is free to relax and to explore the area.
Day 09 – B
Pokhara
In the early morning drive to Sarangkot, a beautiful village best known for its sunrise. On a clear day you will have an unobstructed view of the Himalayan mountains. Return to hotel for breakfast. A short boat trip will take you to the opposite side of Phewa Lake, from where you will hike to the World Peace Pagoda. It is located high above Pokhara.
The rest of the day is free for you to relax by the lakeside or explore the area on your own.
Day 10 – B
Pokhara
In the morning you will enjoy a guided tour around Pokhara’s natural beauty and visit Devi’s Fall and Gupteshor Mahadev Caves. In the afternoon go for a one-hour boat ride on Phewa Lake.
Day 11 – B
Pokhara
Today you will view one of the world’s most beautiful places from the air: In the morning you will go paragliding. The main area for flying in Nepal is the Annapurna region, more specifically the Pokhara valley. This lakeside town is nestled at the foot of the Annapurna Himal, the views commanded from here of 3 of the worlds 8000m peaks, are unsurpassed.
The rest of the day is free for individual activities.
Day 12 – B
Pokhara
Today is free for activities of your choice. Go boating, cycling, horse riding, yoga, swimming, paragliding, for a massage or simply relax by the lakeside and enjoy one of the many restaurants.
Day 13 – B L D
Pokhara| Sarangghat -Rafting
Drive to Damauli, from where you will start rafting to Saranghat (approximately 3.5 hours). This rafting trip on the river Seti is one of the most beautiful short river expeditions available in Nepal. The warm waters of this river are heated naturally with the help of underground springs and geothermic activity. The generally gentle river has plenty of small and straightforward rapids. Class-II ending with Class-III rapids. Stay overnight camping under the stars on the banks of the river.
Day 14 – B L D
Sarangghat|Gaighat |Chitwan National Park -Rafting
Today you will go rafting for another 3 to 4 hours to the end point in Gaighat. Upon arrival transfer to Chitwan National Park.
Take a tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharu. Visit the National Park Visitor’s Centre where you can learn more about the history of the National park and about wildlife. In the evening enjoy the spectacular sunset from the bank of Rapti River before being entertained by a Tharu Cultural Dance presentation by the local villagers or a slideshow presentation.
Day 15 – B L D
Chitwan National Park
Today you will take a canoe ride along Rapti River. This is an excellent opportunity for birdwatching and you might even see two rare species of crocodile: the Marsh Mugger and the Gharial Crocodile.
Later go for a jungle walk, before making good friends with an elephant: You will have the chance to go elephant bathing on the back of your new friend and play with it in the water. Afterwards take a safari on elephant-back. Stay overnight at the safari lodge. In the evening enjoy a Tharu Cultural Dance presentation or slideshow presentation.
Day 16 – B L D
Chitwan National Park
After breakfast visit the Government Elephant Breeding Centre. In the afternoon you will either drive to the Twenty Thousand Lake or go for another elephant safari.
Day 17 – B
Chitwan National Park | Kathmandu
After breakfast, fly back to Kathmandu.
In the afternoon visit Budhanilkantha, a 5m-long mighty scale sculpture of Vishnu as Narayan. It was created in the 7th or 8th century from a monolithic piece of stone and is the most impressive, if not the most important, Vishnu shrine in the country.
Day 18 – B
Kathmandu
In the morning visit the villages of Kirtipur and Panga. Kirtipur is located around 5 km from the center of Kathmandu. In Nepali dialect Kirtipur means “a glorious town”.
In the afternoon drive to Swayambhunath, situated on the top of a hill west of Kathmandu. The temple is colloquially known as the ‘monkey temple’ because of the large tribe of roving monkeys who guard the temple.
Day 19 – B
Kathmandu
Today is free for leisure activities. Enjoy a traditional farewell dinner with cultural programme in evening.
Day 20 – B
Depart Kathmandu
Drive to the airport, your guide will help you and bid you farewell.
