Itinerary
Day 01
Delhi
Arrive at Delhi and meet our representative in the arrival lounge. Transfer to the hotel and rest of the day free.
Day 02 – B
Delhi
Take a half day sightseeing tour of New Delhi: You will see Rashtrapati Bhawan, which is the president’s palace and former imperial residence of the British viceroys. Then you will visit the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of Indian soldiers, and Laxmi Narayan Temple (Birla Temple). Latter was built in 1938 by wellknown Indian industrialist R.B. Birla and inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi. The temple has a large number of idols representing various gods of the Indian pantheon. Afterwards you will see Humayun’s Tomb, another magnificent Mughal building. This tomb was built by emperor Humayun’s wife for him in 1565-66. Set in a square enclosed garden, the finely proportioned structure in red sandstone and marble served later as a model for the Taj Mahal and many other Mughal tombs. The imposing victory tower Qutub Minar was built by Qutbuddin Aibak (1192-98) the founder of the Slave Dynasty. The tapering, fluted structure has five storeys, each marked by intricately carved projections and balconies. You will also get the opportunity to visit Raj Ghat, where the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was cremated.
Day 03 – B D
Delhi | Bagdogra | Gangtok
Early morning transfer to the airport to board your flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival in Bagdogra drive to Gangtok.
Day 04 – B D

Today you will go on a full day excursion to Tsomgo Lake, a holy lake worshipped by the Sikkimese. Its cool, placid water harmonises with the picturesque beauty around, which is doubled by the mirror image in the lake. A small temple of Lord Shiva is built on the lakeside. Primula flowers and other alpine species grow in abundance around this lake, providing a pristine beauty to this place. A footpath along the Tsomgo lake takes you to a resting shed – a walk of about half a kilometre. During the winter months the Tsomo Lake freezes over. Visit the Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary, which is an added attraction to the trip to eastern Sikkim. This Alpine Sanctuary covers an area of 31 sq km in the mountainous terrain. Ranging from altitudes between 3292 meters and 4116 meters, Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary boasts of a wide range of flora and fauna.
Day 05 –B D
Gangtok | Lachung
Drive to Lachung, which literally means ‘Small Mountain”. It is situated at around 2500m altitude. Lachung is one amongst the most beautiful villages: It is adorned with the view of snow-capped mountains, astounding waterfalls and dazzling streams. They even say a visit to Lachung is experiencing heavenly bliss on earth.
Day 06 – B D
Lachung
Today you will go on a full day excursion to Yumthang Valley. You are free to visit the monastery, handicraft centre and move around the village to get a glimpse of its culture and hot springs. Sikkim has many hot springs known for their medicinal value.
Day 07 – B D
Lachung |Gangtok
In the morning drive back to Gangtok. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel in Gangtok. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 08 – B D
Gangtok
Take a full Day sightseeing tour of Gangtok: The Research Institute of Tibetology contains one of the world’s largest collections of Buddhist books and manuscripts. Nearby you will find Do Drul Chorten, a large, white Tibetan pagoda. Visit the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms to get a glimpse into traditional handicrafts of Sikkim. Then make your way to visit Enchey and Rumtek Monasteries.
Day 09 –B D
Gangtok | Kalimpong
Today you will drive to Kalimpong. Enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of the town visiting Flower Nurseries. Kalimpong is a major flower exporter in India. In the nurseries you can see beautiful orchids and large collections of cacti. See the various monasteries of Kalimpong: Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brang Gompa, or Durpin Dara, is the largest and sits spectacularly atop Durpin Hill. It features impressive wall and ceiling paintings and 3D mandalas. Thongsa Monastery is a Bhutanese monastery and is surrounded by 219 small prayer wheels. Tharpa Choling contains statues of the Buddhas of past, present and future, protected by Garuda. In a room next to the Gompa you can find locked up statues of more controversial deities.
Day 10 – B D
Kalimpong | Darjeeling
Today you will drive to Darjeeling, where in the afternoon you will visit the Happy Valley Tea Estate. Smell the aroma of one of the finest teas in the world – the “Champagne of Tea”, as Darjeeling is aptly titled.
Day 11 – B D
Darjeeling
In the early morning visit Tiger Hill to witness one of the most spectacular sunrises in the world. On the way back stop to visit Ghoom Monastery. After breakfast go on a ride of the famous Toy Train, which is even given the status of UNESCO World Heritage. In the afternoon take a visit to the prestigious Himalayan Mountaineering Institute with museum. Later see the Tibetan Refugee Centre with its traditional workshops and share stories with some of the Tibetans living there.
Day 12 – B
Darjeeling | Bagdogra | Delhi
Depart transfer from Darjeeling to Bagdogra in time to catch your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi transfer to hotel.
Day 13 – B
Delhi
Today you will further explore Delhi. Visit the Akshardham temple complex, which portrays the 10,000 years of Indian culture in its architectural elements. Take your time to marvel at the beautiful monument, fantastic exhibitions, lush gardens and many other attractions. In addition to these, this complex showcases the essence of India’s age-old rich traditions and valuable spiritual messages. On the whole, a visit to Akshardham is an enlightening journey through India’s famous art, high values and great contributions for the progress, happiness and harmony of mankind. On return visit the Bahai Temple. It is a marvel of modern architecture and shaped like a half opened Lotus flower. The lotus flower signifies purity and peace, a representation of the manifestation of God, to the people of India. The temple is open to all faiths and an ideal place for meditation and obtaining peace and tranquillity. The afternoon is for leisure and last shopping.

Departure Delhi
Drive to the airport, your guide will help you and bid you farewell.
