A short walk away you will find Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist Stupas in the world. Around here you will experience vibrant and unfettered Tibetan culture from the large community of Tibetan exiles.

Today’s tour is an ideal experience to compare and contrast the different faiths but also see how they overlap and exist in harmony.

In the afternoon you will receive a trek briefing.

Day 04 – B L D
Kathmandu | Syabru Besi [1400m]
Today you will go on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi, the starting point of your trek.

Day 05 – B L D
Syabru Besi | Lama Hotel [2748m]

In the morning you will leave Lama Hotel, and a short climb will take you to the right of where the Langtang valley begins. As you start going up you will be able to have beautiful views of Langtang Lirung Peak. Your constant companions for today will be the yaks and wild goats wandering around.

Day 07 – B L D
Langtang | Kyanjing [3800m]
The trail climbs gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley opens out further and the views become more extensive. After crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyangjin. Here you will find a small monastery as well as a government operated cheese factory. You should arrive at Kyangjin by lunchtime allowing time to acclimatize and explore the area.

Day 08     - B L D
Kyangjin
Today you will have the opportunity for a rest or a small day trip, whatever you need to acclimatize. You can explore the area from this base. Depending on opening times take the chance to visit the monastery or cheese factory. A walk up the moraine northwards to see the spectacular sight of Langtang Lirung is well worth the effort, and is also helpful to acclimatize.

Day 12- B L D
Sing Gompa | Gosainkunda [4336m]
From Sing Gompa you climb a ridge to gain the main Gosainkunda trail. There are good views across Langtang valley to Langtang Lirung. To the west there are dramatic views of Himalchuli, Ganesh Himal and Manaslu. Eventually, the trail descends from the ridge to the first of three lakes, Saraswati Kund. The second lake in the chain is named Bhairab Kund, and the third Gosainkund. Gosainkund lake is particularly sacred and a place of pilgrimage in the summer. According to legend this lake was created by Shiva when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after taking some poison.
