Kathmandu
Take a guided tour of Pashupatinath, one of the most important Hindu temples of Lord Shiva in the world. It draws wandering Sadhus from all over India.

A short walk away you will find Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist Stupas in the world. Around here you will experience vibrant and unfettered Tibetan culture from the large community of Tibetan exiles.

Today’s tour is an ideal experience to compare and contrast the different faiths but also see how they overlap and exist in harmony. Receive a trek briefing in the afternoon.

Today you will drive to Besi Sahar, which lies about 185km from Kathmandu. At Besi Sahar you will be able to enjoy the stunning scenery of snow capped mountains. Stay here for the night.

Day 05 – B L D
Besi Sahar | Khudi [790m]
After a walk through the Besi Sahar Bazaar, the trail drops to a stream on a rough staircase. It follows the slopes of several hills, leads across rice paddies and through sub tropical forests and past a Danish education project. Finally you will reach Khudi, a mixture of tin and thatch-roofed houses around the anchors of a long, sagging suspension bridge across the Khudi Khola.

Day 06 – B L D
Khudi | Bahundanda [1310m]
As you continue from Khudi the trail offers fine views of Himalchuli and Peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli). It climbs to Bhulbhule at 825m and then continues to Ngadi before reaching Lampata at 1135m and nearby Bahundanda. Passing through the villages on the way is a brilliant start to experiencing the culture of Nepal.

Leaving Pisang, there are alternate trails north and south of the Marsyangdi River which meet up again at Mungji. The southern route goes via Hongde at 3325m, with a small airstrip. It involves less climbing than the northern route via Ghyaru. The northern trail though offers better views. From Mungji, the trail continues past the picturesque, hidden village of Bryanga at 3475m to Manang.

An hour further is Letdar, the nest to last shelter before the pass.
