For over 11 years our close-knit relationships in Nepal have created a range of volunteering experiences that leave a lasting impression on the communities we work with. Our intimate, local knowledge of Nepal mean that we can provide you with an experience of a lifetime that can make a difference.

From a few hours to months we can provide a volunteering experience at these projects:

Teaching English: We work with the Fulbright school in Bhaktapur, Nepal. Here participants will stay with the principal’s family and teach English for a couple of hours per day, 5 days a week.
Children’s Home: We support the Rainbow Children’s Home in Pokhara. We offer placements for teaching, interacting with the children and helping with any projects that come up during the stay.
Handicraft Project: Rainbow Children’s Home has launched a handicraft project for disadvantaged women of the region. We offer placements for people with skills to help them run the project: Design, handicraft, marketing skills are welcome!
Village Home Stay: During village home stays participants live with a local family and help them with their daily chores. Depending on skills there will be other things to do in the village, like helping in medical care, teaching, helping old people, doing manual work or helping with small scale projects.

Be Prepared:

Before undertaking your volunteering experience we will provide cultural and language classes with a phrase book. Reading-up on Nepal and getting to know the country before you go helps you adjust quicker when you arrive, we supply a country handbook to help and you can ask us about anything before you go.
