Trail Running
Are you thinking of trying something different than anyone would do while out there in villages of Nepal? Trail running is something you could do whilst still enjoying the stunning views of the Himalayas and typical villages of Nepal going in your own pace in unpolluted thin air of higher altitudes – set your challenge!
You can take a walk or jogging on route to cover the distance it’s entirely up to you and you don’t have to be a tough fitness fanatic to do this. Your route will be carefully selected to suit your desire and physical fitness, and at the finishing point you will be greeted by cheering locals and staff with flower garlands and refreshments.
If you are an experienced trail runner and want to go for the ultimate experience, the Everest Marathon is for you: It is the highest marathon in the world. Starting at Gorak Shep at 5,184m altitude it measures 42km over rough high altitude trails and finishes in the Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar at 3,446m. The marathon is held since 1987 to commemorate the first ascent of Mount Everest.
