South India consists of the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

Chennai in Tamil Nadu is a good place to start touring South India. It was founded by the British and displays a rich heritage, including churches, temples and St Thomas Mount, where apostle Thomas was martyred. Don’t forget to explore the music and dance of Chennai! Close to Chennai, you also have the possibility to explore fine beaches, dense jungles, cave temples, and further down the coast the French heritage of Pondicherry.

In Karnataka, Bangalore and Mysore will give you an impression of the royal heritage of this state. Beautiful palaces aned extended gardens wait for you here!

Kerala, on the South West coast, is particularly popular as a honeymoon destination. It boasts beautiful beaches, hillside retreats in lush, green hills, backwaters with a great diversity of birds, crystal-clear waterfalls to bathe in, historic port towns, temples and many more attractions. Definitely a place not to miss!
