Lukla Holidays

Lukla lies at 2,860 m altitude on a high ledge over the Dudh Khosi valley and is surrounded by mountains. Before the airstrip was opened, Lukla was just a small village. The airstrip now connects the Everest region to Kathmandu, and Lukla very quickly grew into a town. It now offers shops and lodges for trekkers.

Lukla technically isn’t part of the Everest Region, but for most people it is the starting and endpoint of an Everest Base Camp Trek. Lukla has a small airstrip, that is served by several flights from and to Kathmandu daily. During the main trekking season the town gets very busy with trekkers.
