Haa Valley Holidays
Haa Valley is a narrow alpine valley in the Haa district in Bhutan. It is sometimes also known as Hidden-Land Rice valley. It is still fairly undiscovered by tourists, as it was opened for tourism only in 2001. Outdoor fans will love the Haa Valley, as a great place to go mountain biking or walking.
Haa valley is scenically one of Bhutan’s most enchanting places. It also offers countless monasteries and other sights for its visitors. The small village of Dumchoe even boasts two large temples: The White (Lhakhang Karpo) and the Black (Lhakhang Nagpo) Temple. These are well worth a visit, join the pilgrims to there on foot.
During summer, Haa valley hosts various festivals in which visitors can join in to yak riding, archery and other traditional games and sports. They can also get to know the nomadic lifestyle of the Haaps and taste their traditional delicacies.
